Barrie V here.. an English born singer, songwriter.. lyricist and composer.. a musician.. visual artist.. writer.. an ideas person you might say.. among other things.. a multi-disciplinary creative initiator? in 'modern-speak' perhaps.. but above all, a songwriter at heart.. a creative spirit..

I'm told that many of my songs are quite.. umm.. packed.. content rich.. that they're more like albums than 'singles' - hmm.. noting Ed Sheeran's current success.. gives me cheer.. there's hope for us acoustic singer-songwriter troubadors yet.. hmm.. Ed Sheeran, Nizlopi.. the sheep festival.. there's a little story behind this.. ask and I'll tell.. ;>

Right now I'm living in Guilin, Guangxi, China, still writing, playing, singing, producing.. songs.. music..

Here's a little history:

1995: I collaborated, as writer/musician/producer, with the BBC on the World's first live 'Tri-Continental Multicast' in 1995, with Dave Stewart, (Eurythmics), Coldcut and Dreadzone, - Broadcast live simultaneously over three continents, via the Internet, Radio and Television.

2003: I arranged, produced and played on the World's first non-stop two-hour live acoustic radio session with the wonderful musical family known as 'the Jamplant', - one of the last live radio shows at what was the BBC's world famous Pebble Mill studios for BBC Radio as well as producing and playing on many other live radio sessions. (actually, Radio Afghanistan do non-stop acoustic sessions all the time.. I checked..) ha.

1984 – 2017 Singer songwriter; extensive live, broadcast and recorded music production and promotion; live music venues and events: full festivals, including stage managing Europe's largest four-day festival (Shrewsbury Folk Festival 2013) plus successful live thrice! weekly shows (the jamplant) that ran constantly between 2002 -2006. (the Jamplant grew into a rich and happy musical family whose music nights spread out from Wolverhampton, as far afield as Ironbridge, Telford, Lichfield, Brewood, Stafford, Barnsley in North Yorkshire..the list goes on.. such happy golden magical times : )

There's lots of other boring stuff... stuff like.. I developed and delivered Europe's first Electronic Commerce Applications course for Media Forge, (1998) blahh.. I set up and ran the number one ranked web design and optimization (SEO company as they're now called) in the UK - Idigit / InterSchminter - Google ranking - 2001 - blahh.. I created, developed and delivered the University of Wolverhampton's first Digital Sound course. (2000/2) blah.. so I can do and have done lots of stuff..

but.. this:

is what makes me feel happiest.. making, playing and sharing music for and with me myself I and my brothers and sisters.. which means you.. like.. umm.. everyone! Everything is.. Everything! and so.. everyone.. is everyone.. we are groot! ;>
